    Newcastle boasts some of the most well serviced schools in the state with also many private and Catholic options. The Junction Primary is locally renowned for its terrific culture and Newcastle Grammar has quiet prestigious reputation. Newcastle also boasts two selective state schools with The Hunter School of Performing Arts having produced some high-quality professional talent and Merewether High being Newcastle’s equivalent of James Ruse. Rankin Park High is a well-regarded local high school located directly opposite McDonald Jones Stadium.
