Illawong is situated on the upper reaches of the Georges River in the Sutherland Shire approx. 27 kilometres south of the Sydney Central Business District. The suburb is a native term that literally means between two waters, referring to the Georges and Woronora Rivers. Illawong boasts of a tranquil and relaxed way of living with nature embracing the whole area.
