CASTLE HILL, NSW REAL ESTATE BUYERS AGENTS

    Location and Transport Links

Castle Hill is located in the Hills District of Sydney, 30km north-west of the CBD. Currently access to the city is via the M2 via car or direct busses, however by mid-2019 the suburb will have its own train station on the North West Rail Link, which will run between Rouse Hill and Epping.

    Property types

Most houses are double brick or brick veneer and constructed after the 1970’s and range from run-of-the-mill 3 bedroom homes to modern, 6 bedroom palatial mansions. A number of apartment complexes and estates have recently sprung up in the area, several of which are targeting the over 55s demographic.

    Shops and Restaurants

Most shops and restaurants are in the Castle Towers Shopping Centre (known locally as ‘Towers’) and along Terminus Street and Old Northern Road. The new underground train station will be around the intersection of these two roads which will reinvigorate the area as new shops and cafés pop up. Event Cinemas opened its premium five screen cinema complex featuring state of the art digital projectors at Towers in 2009, which complemented its existing 10 screens. AMF Ten Pin Bowling and Laser Skirmish and the sports and fitness options below provide alternative entertainment options.

    Schools and Educational Facilities

There is a wide selection of local schools in Castle Hill. Local government primary schools include Excelsior Public School, Oakhill Drive Public School and Samuel Gilbert Public School while independent primary schools include St Angela’s Primary School, St Bernadette’s Primary School and St Gabriel’s School for Hearing Impaired Children. Local secondary schools are Castle Hill High School, Gilroy College and Oakhill College. Finally, Hills Adventist College in Kellyville is combined primary and secondary.

    Recreation and other Amenities

There are a number of gyms and health clubs in Castle Hill including the LivingWell Health Club, ISIS Health Club and C2K Fitness & Aquatic Centre. Horse riding is also popular and there are multiple companies that run lessons in the area. The Castle Hill Country Club is a popular course for members only. Rock climbers are also catered for with an indoor climbing gym at Home Hub.

Why people live in Castle Hill?

Castle Hill has experienced strong growth in recent years due to its reputation as a shopping destination for the region with over 320 stores at Castle Towers Shopping Centre, over 60 stores Castle Mall Shopping Centre and over 75 stores at Home Hub Castle Hill. A number of good schools are also in the vicinity. The Norwest Business Park provides employment opportunities and ensures an ongoing supply of tenants for investors.
