    Bronte is a beachside suburb 8km south-east of the Sydney CBD. The journey takes approximately 20 minutes by car and bus services operate frequently in peak periods.

    Bronte is fortunate to have a good selection of local restaurants and cafes for breakfast and lunch supplemented by the even greater selection in nearby Bondi, Coogee and Randwick. During the evening, the RSL is popular with locals. There are several convenience stores and smaller grocery stores, however larger supermarkets and shopping centres including cinemas are only located in surrounding suburbs such as Bondi Junction (about 2.5km away).

    Schools and Educational Facilities

    Clovelly Public School and Bronte Kids Preschool are both located in the suburb, while many other reputable Sydney schools are located in surrounding suburbs such as St Catherine’s School (the oldest independent girls’ school in Australia). Randwick TAFE and the University of NSW are also nearby.

    Recreation and other Amenities

    Outdoor activities are popular in Bronte with easy access to Bronte Beach, Bronte Park and the cliff-top walking path from Tamarama to Bondi. Surfing is a big part of the Bronte culture and the area is said to have some of the best waves of the Southern Sydney beaches. The Bronte surf lifesaving club was founded in 1903 and claims to be the oldest surf lifesaving club in the world.

    Bronte offers a relaxed beachside lifestyle within easy commuting distance of the CBD. The weekend café culture is prominent due to the affluent demographic. Many properties have spectacular ocean views and the suburb is situated in the middle of an ocean front walking path from Coogee to Bondi. Bronte is also within easy commuting distance to several of Sydney’s elite schools and universities.
